It’s Christmas Time… in the Suburbs

rsz_1rsz_1husband_-_wife_-_christmas_giftMy wife and I have never been big “gift” people. We have everything we “need” and enough of what we “want” that we’re not lacking anything significant.

And we are both pretty conservative when it comes to gadgets (her more than me) and clothing (me more than her).

But I don’t care about the newest phone or tablet. Plus, I have “fancy friends” who are “newest gadget folks” and they usually just let the one-model back one sit on their desk. They have since just given them to me. And, yes, they know they could sell them, but it’s not worth their time, apparently. So they let me use them.  As a result, I’m pretty much always 6-12 months behind all the trends. 🙂

My wife gets fancy purses (do they still call them purses?) every few years, but gets classic colors and styles that last a while.

All this to say I have no idea what to get her for Christmas. I plan on writing her a note about the last six months and what she means to me.

But I’d like something to “open.” Something similarly meaningful.

The easy decision would be something for the house.

Something thoughtful to hang on the wall or something….

But I'm not looking for just the “easy decision.”

I obviously have a little bit of time. But not much.

So I'd like your help.  I'd like some inspiration.

Women, what’s the most thoughtful gift your husband has given you? Where could I look for inspiration?

Men, what's on your shopping list this year?
